The river Medway has the largest catchment area in Southern England and its reach and strategic location makes Sheerness a prominent logistical hub. The port is positioned on the Thames Estuary and has deep-water access. It has good road, rail and water connectivity, coupled with a significant land footprint available for development.
Far more is imported than exported through Sheerness. Imports are dominated by oil, gas and metals, so general warehousing in the area is actually quite limited. However, if you are importing containers there are a number of recommended haulage firms operating in the area that Stowga partner with who can provide logistics services connecting with the South-East, London and Europe.
