Poole boasts one of the worlds largest natural harbours and one of the most beautiful parts of the British Isles. The port is mainly a passenger ferry port but does handle bulk cargo imports such as steel, Arcelor Group Link rye (for Ryvita) and palletised traffic. Export cargoes include clay and malting barley.
There are a number of MHRA accredited sites located nearby - three in fact between Poole and Bournemouth, which is an unusual concentration. There is not a huge amount of warehousing available yet there is reasonable demand. Stowga have been asked by several logistics firms to find temporary warehouses in the Poole/Bournemouth area so potentially there needs to be some new sites developed there...
