The Port of Immingham is a major east coast port, located on the south bank of the Humber estuary west of Grimsby.
The port has several deep water jetties for bulk cargos: this included the Immingham Oil Terminal for oil importation; the Immingham Bulk Terminal for coal export and iron ore import; the Immingham Gas Jetty for LPG import; and the Humber International Terminal for bulk cargos.
The modern rail infrastructure there handles more than 260 rail freight movements a week, with the port also offering high-speed road links - from the M180 through to the M18 and M1 - allowing UK-wide cargo distribution from a location strategically close to the UK's industrial heartland.
ABP's Immingham Bulk Park is a dedicated bulk store offering a range of warehouses and value-added services for agribulk products with an undercover bulk storage capacity of 30,000 sq m. There is a cluster of logistics, warehousing and haulage firms along the A180 offering a wide variety of warehousing solutions. Some offer pallet storage, order fulfilment, pick and pack, distribution and other supply chain services.
